Jan Hichert co-founded network security company Astaro in 2000 – a three-person startup that grew to a global company with offices on three continents – that was acquired by Sophos in 2011. In 2013 he co-founded Ocedo – a pioneer in software defined networking – that was acquired by Riverbed in 2016.
Today, Jan is Vice President of SD-WAN Solutions at the American IT company Riverbed Technology. He is responsible for all aspects of the SD-WAN strategy, and is the leader of the SD-WAN product team. Jan invested in several startups, such as Eyeo (makers of Adblock Plus), and Secomba (makers of BoxCryptor)
